Authorities have temporarily shut down a tannery in Ranipet a day after a worker died while cleaning a sewage tank. Two others a co-worker and the tannery owner also collapsed while trying to rescue him and were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Bridge of Weir, a leading supplier of fine automotive leather, is celebrating 20 years of partnership with US manufacturer Piston Interiors by launching a new complete leather interior solution for American car brands.

Automotive leather maker Pangea is turning leftover hides into opportunity by donating 600 hides to Pingree Detroit. The Michigan-based company transforms reclaimed leather into premium goods while creating jobs for U.S. veterans and local residents.

On 15 October 2025 Stahl a global leader in speciality coatings has reopened its advanced coatings facility in Ranipet, India.

Lineapelle 106, the world’s leading trade fair for luxury, fashion and design manufacturing, wrapped up successfully at Fiera Milano Rho from September 23 to 25, 2025. The event brought together 21,433 professional visitors and 1,150 exhibitors from across the global supply chain.
