India’s leather and footwear exports hit USD 5.7 Billion in 2024-25, growing nearly 25%. CLE expects it to cross USD 6.5 Billion in FY26. With strong US & UK demand, the sector eyes a USD 39 Billion turnover by 2030.

Kering's Q1 2025 revenue dropped 14% to €3.9 Billion, with major dips in Asia-Pacific (-25%) and Western Europe/North America (-13%). Gucci saw a 24% drop, while Bottega Veneta grew 4%. Kering closed 25 stores and is focused on weathering macroeconomic challenges.
Hermès is opening a new leather workshop in Normandy, France, set to employ 260 artisans by 2028. This will be their tenth leather facility, supporting the brand's growing demand for luxury goods and reinforcing its commitment to craftsmanship.
