INDUSTRY INSIGHTS & ANALYSIS

Digital Marketing Startup Wubba Lubba Dub Dub Acquires Indian D2C Sneaker Brand 7-10

Digital marketing startup Wubba Lubba Dub Dub (WLDD) has just acquired a majority stake (over 70%) in D2C sneaker brand 7-10 in an all-cash deal.

For those who don't know, 7-10 is a homegrown sneaker brand founded in 2021 by Shibani Bhagat. They make sneakers for both men and women.

What's interesting is WLDD's strategy behind this acquisition.

"We want to understand each and every aspect of running and growing a D2C brand so that if I go to my clients in the similar space, I can offer them something that I have tried."

- CEO Arihant Jain

WLDD itself is a digital marketing platform founded in 2018 that helps brands boost their social media presence through meme marketing, short-form videos & influencer marketing.

On the financial side, WLDD is expected to cross $10 million (about ₹86 crore) in revenue this fiscal year.

This acquisition comes at an interesting time for India's sneaker market, which is expected to hit $3.1 billion in 2025.

Besides big players like Campus and Bata, several startups like Comet, Neeman’s, Solethreads, among others are competing for market share.
